About

My Background

I have been involved in the practice of psycho-spirituality for over 30 years and have been running my own private practice for the past 15 years, working with individuals, couples, families and businesses. I earned a Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Purchase and a Master of Science degree from the University of Bridgeport.

In addition to my practice as a therapist at the Dimele Center for Psychotherapy in New York City, and leading programs at Landmark Education, I have trained and studied with some of the great masters in psychological and psycho-spiritual world.

I became a certified Tritype® and Instincts Enneagram teacher with Katherine Fauvre Consulting, and I’ve attended many trainings with Russ Hudson, co-founder of the Enneagram Institute.

I have always had a love for psychology and discovering what made people tick, but even at a very early age I knew that there was more to the complexity of understanding and healing people than just labels and anecdotal solutions.  Eventually this knowing led me to discovering the Enneagram, as well as the many other systems I now use in my practice. I have led many workshops on the Enneagram and the area of effective and powerful communication.

I am a lifelong student as well, so as I continue on my own personal journey, armed with my voracious quest for knowledge, I continue to discover new systems that give me another piece of the puzzle and better allow me to to serve others in the areas where they are stuck.

My Philosophy

When I work with clients I am not here to offer them advice, although I may make some suggestions. My approach is to do an inquiry process, and to better understand the client as an individual through the use of different personality assessments.  I consider it my job to learn what is important to each client and to increase their awareness of their owns strengths and challenges or pitfalls. I also remind clients that there are many perspectives in the world, and each one of ours is only one of them. We all have different survival strategies and one is not better or worse than any other. With the use of individual personality blueprinting and the inquiry process I am better able to aim a laser focus on the core of the issue without years of history, story and evidence.

I believe in what the Buddha said, “When all is truly understood, all is forgiven.”

Most of all, this journey is about forgiving ourselves. My clients can expect to experience a deeper understanding of what makes them tick. They will have an increased level of compassion for themselves and others. From our work together, my clients will walk away with tools and practices that they can apply practically to their own lives.

My Practice

I believe safety, confidentiality, trust and compassion are key to doing inner work. Everything I do with clients is co-created in the session and individualized to what I think would best serve as a support to my client in that moment. I will frequently have some favorite videos and books that I will suggest as supplements to speed up healing and self-awareness. All of our sessions are done virtually, online, or by phone if preferred. The biggest benefit of virtual work is being able to work from the comfort of your own home without spending time on travel.  Virtual sessions also allow me to create more flexibility in my schedule, in order to accommodate your time, needs, and schedule, based upon availability of course. I am located in New York so am generally on East Coast time unless I am traveling. I work with clients both nationally and internationally, as long as they have a good understanding of English, as it is my primary language. For those of you who have never done online coaching or therapy before, you will be surprised how intimate and convenient the setting can be. I look forward to working with you!
